URGENT UPDATE:
The doctors lowered the pressure so the fluid would drain faster through the head into the tummy lining. This is a dangerous step considering things can go wrong (his skull could collapse). If his incision continues to leak even after this step he will be going in for surgery tomorrow or Tuesday. Thanks for Praying!
The neurosurgeon will be meeting Jenn & Omy at 7:30am to talk about revisions with Avery’s surgery. The incision leaked this morning (along with a few times in the past few days) and they will be reconsidering if this is necessary depending on how it does in the next 24hours. For good news sake, this little guy is gaining strength! My concern is that another surgery might slow down his progress. His digestion is still improving along with his oral therapy. He has also bee doing tummy time with great signs of a strong neck. Pray that it stops and that the Lord would heal the incision in the next 24hours and that if he does need another surgery that he would improve almost immediately.
